Cookie Policy
Onsight sets three cookies and keeps a small number of values in your browser’s local storage. None of them is used for advertising, and none is shared with anyone else. This page lists each one, what it is for and how long it lasts.
Cookies
onsight_session keeps you signed in. It holds a session token, is sent only to Onsight over a secure connection and cannot be read by scripts. It lasts 30 days from your last sign-in and is cleared when you sign out.
onsight_dev holds a short fingerprint of your browser, computed from its reported properties such as language, time zone and screen size. It is read when an account is created and when you connect, and it is compared between the seats at a table so that two seats on one device are recorded on the match. It lasts 30 days.
Local storage
These values stay in your browser until you clear site data. They are read by the Onsight page and by nothing else.
onsight.session holds your session id so that the site can resume your session. onsight.guest records anonymous browsing state. onsight.game, onsight.stake, onsight.region, onsight.minesGrid and onsight.minesCount remember the game, stake, region and Mines board you last chose. onsight.favorites and onsight.recent hold the games you favourited and played recently. onsight.rail remembers whether you collapsed the side rail, and onsight.chatOpen whether you opened the chat rail. onsight.onetap.dismissed records when you dismissed the Google sign-in prompt so it is not shown again for 24 hours.
Session storage
These values last for one tab and are gone when you close it. onsight.tab gives the tab its own id so that two tabs do not fight over one seat. onsight.chatReturn records that you opened the sign-in from the chat, so you land back in it. onsight.onetap.shown records that the Google sign-in prompt was already shown in this tab.
Controlling them
You can clear all of these through your browser’s site data settings. Clearing the session cookie signs you out. Blocking cookies altogether means you cannot stay signed in, so you cannot play.
