Getting started
What is Onsight?
Onsight is a place to play short games against other people, on live video, for real money. Every match is settled in dollars from your $ balance. A stake is any whole dollar from $1 a seat, with no maximum; when two players queue at different stakes the match settles at the lower one. You must be 18 or older to hold an account.
How do I sign up?
Sign in with Google or ask for a sign-in link by email. Confirm that you are 18 or older and that you agree to the Terms, then pick a username of 3 to 16 characters. That username is what your opponents see at the table. Password sign-up is closed.
Can I look around without an account?
Yes. Signed-out visitors can browse the lobby and the games. You cannot sit at a table, add funds or cash out until you sign in and have money in your $ balance.
How do I start a match?
Choose a game and a stake in the lobby. One-on-one games use Find Match, which pairs you with the next player waiting at that stake. Games with more seats use open tables: join one, or create your own. Your stake is locked from your $ balance when you sit at a table or a match is found, and it is settled when the match ends.
Adding funds
How do I add funds?
Open your wallet and choose Add Funds. Pick an amount and a method. To send from a wallet you already hold, you are shown an address; send USDC to it. To pay with another coin, use the swap option, which converts it and delivers USDC to your address. Your $ balance updates once the network has confirmed the transfer. The wallet shows the confirmation count while it waits.
Which networks can I use?
USDC on Base, Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum and Solana. One address serves Base, Ethereum, Polygon and Arbitrum. Solana uses its own address. The networks offered to you are the ones listed inside Add Funds.
I sent USDC on a network you do not list. What happens?
We do not watch that network, so the transfer is not detected and is not credited. Email [email protected] with the transaction hash and the network you used. We will look at whether the funds can be recovered, but recovery is not guaranteed, and it never happens automatically. Sending USDC to your Onsight address on any of the four EVM networks it covers is credited normally.
I sent USDT or another token. Is it credited?
No. USDT sent to your address on Ethereum, Polygon or Arbitrum is detected and held for manual conversion, and is not credited straight away. USDT on Base and any other token on any network is recorded but not credited. Email support with the transaction hash if this happens to you.
How long does a deposit take?
It depends on the network. Base, Ethereum and Arbitrum credit after 12 confirmations, Polygon after 128, and Solana once the transaction is final. Add Funds shows the count as it climbs and tells you when the funds are credited.
Playing
Is there a rake?
No. There is no rake. Each player pays a 1% entry fee per round, out of their own stake, and the whole pot goes to the winning seats when a round settles. A round that ends in a push refunds every seat in full.
Is there an entry fee?
Yes. Each player pays an entry fee of 1% of their own stake when a match is locked, with no cap. It comes out of the stake: a $5.00 stake puts $4.95 into the pot, so a player holding exactly $5.00 can still join a $5.00 table, and the winner takes the whole pot. A raise you both accept during a match pays the same 1% on the amount added. The fee is charged only when a match reaches a result. A match that is cancelled, abandoned before play, pushed or refunded for any reason returns the fee with the stake. The rate is shown on the play page before you press Play, and the fee you paid is itemised in the match-end breakdown and listed in your match history.
Why does a multiplier game lock more than my stake?
In Mines and Hi-Lo a loss can be a multiple of the stake. Each seat locks the full amount it could lose before play starts, so the winner is always paid. Whatever was not lost is returned to you at the end, shown as held returned. The lobby tells you the exact held amount for the stake and table you chose.
What happens if I disconnect?
The table pauses and your seat is kept open for a grace window. If you are back inside it, play continues. If you are not, your seat forfeits. In a flat-stake game that loses your stake. In a multiplier game it loses your exposure at the moment you dropped, and never less than the stake.
How is a match settled?
Every match is decided on our servers, and every move is recorded with a server timestamp. The settled result shows the pot, the entry fee and the net for each seat. Your recent match history keeps the stake, entry fee, multiplier reached and net.
Cashing out
How do I cash out?
Open your wallet and choose Cash Out. Cash outs need two-factor authentication, which you turn on under Security with an authenticator app. Funds leave as USDC to an address you control. The destination must be a wallet linked to your account or an address on your whitelist, and a newly added address waits 24 hours before its first use. The network fee is shown before you confirm.
Can I cash out what I deposit?
Deposits must be played once before they can be cashed out. Winnings can always be cashed out.
For example, you add $20. Once you have staked $20 in total across your games, all of your balance can be cashed out, winnings included. Until then, Cash Out and your balance show how much more there is to play. A match that is cancelled, refunded or ends in a push does not count toward it.
Why is my cash out pending?
Larger amounts are reviewed by a person before they move, and Cash Out says so when it applies. A cash out can also wait on a screening check of the destination address, or for review after a lot has been cashed out in a day or a month. The amount leaves your balance when you ask for it, and a refused request returns it.
Account
Can I hide my name on the leaderboard?
Yes. Under Security, turn on Hide my name on the leaderboard. Your rows then show as Anonymous. Your rank and your figures still count.
How do I close my account?
Email [email protected] from the address on the account, and cash out any balance first. We confirm by email once the account is closed.
