Terms of Service
Effective 7 September 2026.
1. The service
Onsight is a live, video-matched competitive gaming platform. Every game is played for real money against other players. You must be 18 or older to hold an account; you confirm that at signup.
2. Lawful play
You are responsible for whether playing here is lawful for you.
We do not screen wallet addresses against sanctions or risk lists. The AML Policy sets out what we do and do not run, in full.
3. Your account
You may hold one account. You are responsible for the security of your sign-in method and your two-factor authenticator. Cashing out requires a two-factor code and a whitelisted destination address; a manually added address cannot receive funds for 24 hours after it is added.
Deposits must be played once before they can be cashed out. Winnings can always be cashed out. A match that is cancelled, refunded or ends in a push does not count toward it.
4. Custody: we hold your funds
This section matters more than any other on this page. Read it before you deposit.
When you add funds, you send them to a deposit address that Onsight creates and Onsight controls. The private keys to that address, and to every wallet the funds subsequently move through, are held by us. You do not hold them at any point, and you cannot move those funds yourself.
Your balance is a record in our ledger, not money you control on a blockchain. It is a claim against Onsight for a corresponding amount, payable through the Cash Out process and subject to these terms. What you see in the app is our accounting of what we owe you.
Funds are pooled. Deposits are swept out of your deposit address into platform wallets shared with every other player's funds and with our own operating funds. Balances are not segregated, and no individual player's funds are held separately or identifiably on their behalf.
There is no insurance and no protection scheme. Onsight is not a bank, a trust company or a licensed custodian. Your balance is not insured, not deposit-protected, and not guaranteed by anyone. No third party stands behind it.
If Onsight fails, you are an unsecured creditor. Should the platform become insolvent or cease operating, you would rank as a general unsecured creditor for your balance, alongside our other creditors. You may recover part of it, or none of it. You are also exposed to the loss, theft or compromise of the wallets and keys we operate, to failures of the blockchains and third-party services we rely on, and to any change in the value of the stablecoin your balance is denominated in.
Do not treat a balance on Onsight as savings, and do not hold more here than you are prepared to lose outright.
5. Stakes and fees
Your stake is locked when a match begins and settled by the result. In games where a seat can lose a multiple of its stake, the full amount the seat could lose is locked up front and the unused part is returned at settlement.
We take nothing from the pot: the winning seats are paid the whole of it at settlement. Should we introduce a rake, the rate will be stated here before it applies to any match, and the amount taken will be itemised in the breakdown on screen at the end of every match. There is no house seat and no house edge: you are playing against the other people at the table. A push refunds every seat. Cash outs carry a network fee, shown before you confirm.
Each player pays an entry fee of 1% of their own stake, with no cap. The fee is deducted from the stake when the match is locked, so the amount at risk is the stake less the fee, the pot is the sum of those amounts, and the winning seats are paid the whole pot. A raise accepted during a match pays the same 1% on the amount added, deducted from it the same way. The fee is charged only when a match reaches a result: if a match is cancelled, abandoned before play, ends in a push or is refunded for any reason, the fee is refunded with the stake. We may change the rate; the rate in force is shown on the play page before you commit a stake, and the fee charged on each match is itemised in the settlement breakdown and listed in your match history.
6. Fair play
Collusion, self-play across accounts, automated play and exploitation of defects are prohibited and can void winnings. Accounts sharing a network address are refused seats together at a public table; heads-up matches and private rooms between them are allowed, recorded and reviewed.
7. Responsible play
Stake only what you can afford to lose. We offer no deposit limits, loss limits, session limits, cool-off periods or self-exclusion tools. You can ask us to close your account by emailing support from the address on the account. See Responsible Play.
8. Suspension, holds and our discretion
We may suspend or close an account, hold or refuse a cash out, void a match or withhold its winnings, and change the games, stakes, fees and limits we offer. We may pause withdrawals platform-wide, and do so automatically if our ledger and the chain disagree, until a person has reviewed it. We are not liable for a loss that follows from a decision made to keep the games fair, to meet our obligations, or to protect players and the platform.
9. The service as it is
The service is provided as it is, without warranty. We do not promise it will be available at all times or free of defects. A match affected by your own connection is settled under the applicable disconnect rules.
Third-party assets are under their own licences, listed at /credits.
10. Changes
We may change these terms. The effective date above changes with them, and continuing to use the service after that date is acceptance of the current version.
